You would think that with his past, sleazey connections President Barack Hussein Obama would be ultra-tolerant of fellow leftists-liberals-radicals but that’s not always the case, especially when they become an embarrassment in an election year.

It was perfectly acceptable in 2008 for Obama to be bosom buddies with revolutionists William Ayers, Bernadette Dohrn, Jeremiah Wright, and other professed anti-Americans.  Most voters knew about those illicit associations–or should have known– yet they elected Obama anyway.

When Obama appointed to high offices such reprobates and revolutionaries such as Harold Koh, Kevin Jennings, John Holdren, Van Jones, Dawn Johnson, Mark Lloyd, Chai Feldblum, and a slew of other sick fruitcakes, it seemed obvious that our president didn’t give a damn what Americans thought of his extremist background or of his far out nominees and his supporters didn’t seem to give a damn, either.

That view now turns out to be incorrect.  Obama is in fact occasionally selective as to who is awarded the Obama imprimatur and who is consigned to executive oblivion.  Apparently, the aging actress and radical poster “girl,” Susan Sarandon is now on the Anointed One’s S-list.

Vocal: Sarandon, right, is pictured with anti-war activists Cindy Sheehan, left, and Rev. Al Sharpton, centre, to protest the war in Iraq in New York City in April 2006  Denied a White House security clearance, Sarandon also claims her telephone has been tapped and that the government maintains a dossier on her.  It all sounds like paranoia except that her whining might have a basis in fact.

Sarandon became a major political liability for Obama when she outrageously insulted  some 68.5 million Americans, 24% of the population of the United States, and 27% of the electorate by slandering the prelate for the world’s 1.2 billion Roman Catholics by calling him a “Nazi.”

Liberals tend to toss that derogatory term around along with “fascist” as cover for their own totalitarian instincts but there may be another factor involved with Sarandon: her  continuing, personal revolution against the Catholic religion she had professed for decades.

A line had to be drawn at the White House gates, at least until after the president gets more “flexibility” in a second term, when Sarandon characterized Pope Benedict XVI as “this Nazi” last October at the Hamptons Film Festival.

A vociferous opponent of the death penalty and consistent supporter of leftist positions and liberal political candidates–she has backed Ralph Nader, Al Gore, John Edwards, John Kerry, et al.–she overstepped with her papal calumny and the White House reacted by effectively declaring her persona non grata out of political necessity.  (

The historical record has verified that the young Joseph Ratzinger and his entire family despised the Nazi party in Austria and Sarandon’s gratuitous lie only reflected her abject ignorance of history and fundamental disrespect for religion.  Evidently hoping the public would forgive her nasty remark, she was forced to apologize, as lefties often do after they inadvertently reveal their true nature and character but she no doubt endeared herself to her comrades.

The president is already in hot water with Catholics, a majority of whom voted for him four years ago, notably for his tyrannical attempt to dictate articles of their faith, violate their consciences, and suspend the First Amendment’s guaranty of free expression of their religion and certainly didn’t need Sarandon’s “Nazi” albatross hanging around his scrawny neck.

The “Susan Sarandon Affair” and the administration’s obvious fear of its potential repercussions further substantiate the widespread feeling that Obama is running scared, which is as heartening as seeing one of his Hollywood elite dissed by the White House.
