conservative Jay Richards  The words “white,” “straight,” and “conservative” have long been considered pretty much redundancies and only lately have been transformed into pejoratives by the increasingly-black, gay, and extreme liberal-leftists in Barack Hussein Obama’s mainstream media who aid and abet America’s liberal-leftist-dominated colleges, universities, and public school systems in creating an atmosphere of vile political correctness.

At one time in the not too distant past, a heterosexual Caucasian who tended to have fundamentally conservative views on politics, inter-personal relationships, and life in general was accepted in American society as someone who may have been the antithesis of liberal-leftist thinking but yet was entitled under the First Amendment to freely express his or her opinions.

That time is over.

Incidents of blatant discrimination against white, heterosexual, conservative students–and kids who simply try to express some patriotic fervor–have been mushrooming ever since Obama became president in 2009.

The last was epitomized in February by California’s Oxnard Union School District superintendent Gabe Soumakian and Camarillo High School principal Glenn Lipman who suspended four Camarillo students for the horrendous infractions of chanting “U.S.A! U.S.A!” and for wearing American flag bandanas during a basketball game.

The guilty students’ suspensions were later lifted but Superintendent Soumakian vengefully vowed that “the incident is far from over, that we need to pursue this further” and “work with teachers and students and the community about the concept of cultural proficiency,” whatever that means.

Soumakian and Lipman feared the students might have had racist motives (in chanting “U.S.A! U.S.A!” and by wearing American flag bandanas during a basketball game) because Oxnard schools have enrolled a large number of Hispanics and they didn’t want to offend them–with expressions of patriotism. The “hateful racists” absolutely denied any racial intent and one, clearly ignorant of political correctness, explained, “We’ve done it always. It’s something we do.  It’s the same group of friends. We’re all very patriotic,” an obvious no-no in Oxnard.

See a brief video featuring those patriots–AND a number of Camarillo Hispanics–cheering on their team:

The Reverend Martin Luther King’s prescription for racial harmony and justice, his dream that his ”four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character,” went by the wayside the day Barack Obama took office as president of the United States.

634985887082885416_white-privilege-and-prejudice-300x185  That unfortunate reality has been evidenced in many ways since 2009 and was recently emphasized by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction which conducted programs on racial issues, one of which, an Americorps’ VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) program for high school kids, suggests white students wear white wristbands to serve “as a reminder about your (white) privilege.”

The ingenious idea is designed “to build capacity in schools and districts serving low-income families to develop an effective, sustainable, research-based program of family-school-community partnerships.” (

No mention is made as to how the VISTA program impacts white, middle class kids who are being taught they should be ashamed of the color of their skin.

Nor is any reference made to the program’s clear contradiction of Rev. King’s remonstrance against racial bigotry and in favor of judging people on the basis of “the content of their character.”  VISTA also strongly implies that white kids shouldn’t be proud of their race, the same race which discovered America, which struggled to build our country into the most powerful on Earth, and the country which is undeniably the most generous nation on the planet–all negatives or lies in the eyes of liberal-leftists.
