Bilderberg Group 2010  Ever hear of the Bilderbergs?  No, they’re not an old vaudeville act and, no, they’re not characters on a new Fox sitcom.  Most people have never heard of the Bilderbergs or the Bilderberg Group, or the Bilderberg Conference, or the Bilderberg Club, and that’s exactly how they want things.

Briefly, the Bilderberg Conference refers to an ultra-selective, ultra-secretive meeting of approximately 150 individuals, Europe’s and North America’s ultra-elite chosen from governments, finance, industry, labor, education and the mainstream media who annually gather together at various ultra-prestigious locales to discuss the world in which they and the uninvited hoi polloi live.

(Ultra-elites in the MSM are invited but the conference is off-limits to reporters and who in “education” qualify as invitees is as mystifying as the Bilderbergs.)

This year, the Bilderbergs–a name derived from the location of their first (secretive) meeting at the Hotel de Bilderberg in Oosterbeek, Netherlands in May 1954–will convene June 8–9 at The Grove, an exclusive hotel in Watford, Hertfordshire in the U.K.  Of course, no one really knows, outside of invited Bilderbergers who are sworn to secrecy, what’s on their 2013 agenda and the Group’s website alleges that “There is no detailed agenda, no resolutions are proposed, no votes are taken, and no policy statements are issued.”

They call themselves “a debating society” and among those participating in this year’s “debate” will be such notables as Jose Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission; Christine Lagarde, head of the IMF; Robert Rubin and Timothy Geithner, the former secretaries to the US Treasury.

In addition, prime ministers, foreign ministers, finance ministers and chief executives of Deutsche Bank, Barclays, Amazon, Google, Shell, HSBC, Lazard, Prudential and Alcoa and Peter Thiel, billionaire founder of PayPal, are on the guest list as are Olivier de Bavinchove, the commander of Eurocorps, the EU’s standing army, Henry Kissinger, former US secretary of state, and David Petraeus, former US commander in Afghanistan and head of the CIA.

It should be some “debate”, especially if invited but unidentified guests show up!

Most Expensive Meals In the world  So, we commoners are expected to believe that some of the most influential, most wealthy, most powerful majordomos from Europe and North America will suspend their activities for two days and fly to Watford in order to indulge in culinary delights and bask in England’s cloudy, rainy June skies and not discuss anything meaningful?

If you believe that, I have this nice bridge to sell you in beautiful, downtown Watford.

If we can gauge the import of this year’s Bilderberg agenda-less confab by the unprecedented security measures being implemented by organizers, something out of the ordinary is afoot in Hertfordshire.

The Grove has been surrounded by a ten-foot wire and concrete fence more befitting Auschwitz than a conference which in turn is surrounded by anti-terrorism zones, officials making identity checks, and severe restrictions on vehicles stopping in the vicinity of this “important international conference.”

Since I, unfortunately, wasn’t invited to the Bilderberg get-together, I don’t know any more about what the Bilderbergers are up to this year or, indeed, what they are ever up to and the mainstream media rarely reports anything of substance concerning the group.

Daniel Estulin, however, thinks he does know what they’re up to.  In essence, Estulin believes the allegedly agenda-less, debating society is plotting to establish a one-world government, in all probability under the ungentle, inept auspices of the Third World-dominated United Nations, one world in which all people are created equal with the one exception being that some–like the Bilderbergers and their associates–are just a tad more equal than everyone else.

Colonial World Order: Economy Crisis to enter in One World  After spending fourteen years researching and investigating the mysterious Bilderberg Group, Estulin concluded that, “Whatever its early mission, the Group is now ‘a shadow world government. . . . threaten(ing) to take away our right to direct our own destinies (by creating) a disturbing reality” very much harming the public’s welfare.  In short, Bilderbergers want to supplant individual nation-state sovereignty with an all-powerful global government, corporate controlled, and check-mated by militarized enforcement.”

Personally, I’m not ready to buy into all of Estulin’s conclusions but considering what’s going on in President Obama’s world today and the attendees at Bilderberg 2013 and this year’s over-the-top obsession with secrecy, something seems to stink in Bilderberg-land.  For some reason, I didn’t notice any true conservatives on the guest list.  Perhaps, it was an oversight?

Estulin may be somewhat paranoid but we should remember that even paranoiacs have real enemies.
