Murder accused Amanda Knox was  Amanda Marie Knox, the American student who moved to Perugia, Italy to study at the University for Foreigners for one year and shortly after was accused of murdering one of her housemates, British student Meredith Kercher, on November 1, 2007, refuses to risk another chance with the corrupt and inept Italian justice system.

Along with her boyfriend Raffaelli Solecito, Knox spent almost three years in jail after being accused and convicted of Ms. Kercher’s grisly rape and murder in 2009 and was sentenced to 26 years in prison, then released following an appeal when her conviction was overtuned on October 3, 2011, then ordered to return to Italy on March 26, 2013 when her acquittal was overturned by the Italian Supreme Court.

Follow all that?

It’s certain that self-described “Foxy Knoxy” and labeled a “she-devil,” and worse by the European press even before she was arrested, wants no part of a re-trial scheduled to begin September 3oth.  According to one of her lawyers, Luciano Ghirga, he recently met with Knox and other defense team members and she confirmed what they had said back in 2011: She didn’t return to Italy when she was ordered to do so and won’t be returning to be re-tried.

Amanda Knox may be a lot of things, none of them proven in a court of law.  She may be a pothead, she may be sex-crazed, she may be a slut, she may have “multiple personalities,” she have even be a murderess, all terms applied to her by the European media and at her 2009 trial.

However, Knox is clearly no fool.

Add to those absurdities the overall Brit and European media’s contempt for Americans and Knox as epitomized by the London Times Online which ridiculed the idea that “Amanda Knox was a victim of anti-Americanism and an antiquated justice system” and “an obvious victim of Old Europe corruption,” snide denials that reflected the opinions of most of America’s envious allies.
