There may be few things more definite in life than death and taxes but the Democrat Party’s lies and distortions have to place third and fourth.
In lieu of discussing and negotiating with the GOP on Obamacare, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, the ultra-partisan bill that no one read yet was signed into law by Barack Hussein Obama three and a half years ago which most Americans dislike and many rightly fear, the president–with the help of his administration minions and his mainstream media acolytes–is stonewalling in hopes of precipitating a government shutdown crisis he doesn’t plan to waste.
Although written in a much different context, the 48 year old song “Eve of Destruction” would be a fitting new theme song for the so-called Party of the People. It clearly reflects Democrat negativism, cynicism, and hopes for catastrophe over an Obamacare government shutdown: “The eastern world, it is exploding/ Violence flarin’, bullets loadin’/ You’re old enough to kill, but not for votin’ /You don’t believe in war, but what’s that gun you’re totin’/ And even the Jordan River has bodies floatin’/ But you tell me Over and over and over again, my friend/ Ah, you don’t believe We’re on the eve of destruction.”
America is nowhere near an “eve of destruction” because of shutting down a sputtering government despite Democrat warnings that we are, warnings predicated on lies mainly about dumping Obamacare.
For example, even in the face of a new CBS News/New York Times survey released just last Wednesday, a poll reinforcing the findings of most surveys that Americans disapprove of the PPACA or ACA by wide margins, (“Opinions of the health care law overall continue to be negative . . . 39% of Americans now approve of the health care law, but more–51%–disapprove, similar to views in July. Since the law was enacted in 2010, more have disapproved than approved of it”), the stonewalling continues with aid, comfort, lies, and distortions provided by the likes of CBS’ own Bob Schieffer.
On Sunday’s Face the Nation, Schieffer verbally chastised the Republican Congresswoman Representative for Tennessee’s 7th congressional district, Marsha Blackburn, for accurately stating that “there is only partisan support” for ObamaCare. At that point, Schieffer rudely interrupted by falsely asserting, “Well now Congresswoman, that’s not entirely true. The polls don’t suggest that. Polls say that most people favor it.”
Most people where, Mr. Schieffer? In the White House? Didn’t you bother to read that CBS News/New York Times survey? Or, were you fully aware of it and choose to ignore it in the interests of serving your Master and fulfilling his goal of foisting Obamacare on the American people?
Assuming the most generous scenario, that Schieffer happened to miss reading the results of a poll conducted in part by his employer, for his edification he can read it now at http://tinyurl.com/qgzf8lg.
If and when our country approaches the eve of destruction, the Democrat Party will surely be in charge, cheering on that destruction and still pushing for Obamacare.
